Enterprise LLMs in 2026
At this level the model is rarely what decides it. Certification, contract terms, identity integration and audit logging are what security review asks about — so that is what we compare.

How we ranked these
Stated before the list, so you can disagree with the weighting rather than the result.
The ranking
- 01

ChatGPT4.8$20/mo
The default general-purpose assistant: writing, coding help, research and analysis in one place.
The first choice when you want one assistant that does everything. If your work centres on code, long documents or precise Japanese, pair it with Claude rather than replacing it.
- 02

Claude4.9$20/mo
Long-context reasoning with careful, well-structured writing. Strong on drafting, research and design work.
For writing, research and document work — especially in Japanese — this is the first thing to try in 2026. Start on Pro and give yourself a month to judge whether the value is there.
- 03

Microsoft Copilot4.4$30/mo
AI across Microsoft 365: drafting, summarising and analysis inside Word, Excel and Teams.
The strongest candidate for a company-wide rollout where Microsoft 365 is already deployed. If general-purpose AI work matters too, running ChatGPT Enterprise alongside is the realistic answer.
- 04

Gemini4.6$20/mo
Google's multimodal assistant, wired natively into Gmail, Docs and Drive.
If Workspace is already deployed across the company, this is the lowest-friction option by a wide margin. As a standalone assistant, ChatGPT and Claude remain stronger.
- 05

Cohere4.4Usage-based API pricing
B2B-first LLM platform covering RAG, embeddings and reranking in one stack.
The first choice for engineers building internal RAG, search or custom AI applications. Of little relevance to individual users.
Questions we get
- Which one clears security review fastest?
- Microsoft Copilot where Microsoft 365 is already deployed, and Gemini where Google Workspace is — in both cases the identity, logging and residency questions are already answered by an existing contract.
- Is ChatGPT Enterprise worth it over Team?
- If you need SSO, SCIM, audit logs and a contractual training exclusion, yes. If you need none of those, Team at $25 per seat is considerably cheaper and starts immediately.
- What about building on Azure OpenAI or Bedrock instead?
- That is the right path when you are building an application rather than deploying an assistant, or when residency inside a specific region is mandatory. It also means you own the interface and the support burden.
- Can we start with a pilot?
- Yes, and you should. Team-level plans on most of these let twenty or thirty people use the tool for a month without a procurement cycle, which is usually enough to tell whether a full rollout is worth it.
