Ad disclosure and affiliate policy

Last updated:

AI Tools Hub is an independent comparison site. This page sets out exactly how we earn money and why that does not change what we publish.

1. The short version

  • Some links here are affiliate links. Clicking one never costs you anything extra; we are paid a commission only if you buy.
  • We sell sponsored placements. Anywhere one appears is labelled as advertising or PR.
  • We may pass business leads to partner vendors — only where you have explicitly opted in first.
  • Reviews and rankings are decided independently. No advertiser can pay to change a score or a position.
  • We do not hide negative findings. Weaknesses are published as weaknesses.

2. Affiliate links

Some links go through affiliate networks (Impact, PartnerStack, A8.net, afb, ValueCommerce, AccessTrade, Moshimo and others). If you sign up or buy after following one, we receive a commission from the partner.

You pay nothing extra, and the price and features you receive are identical whether or not you use our link.

4. Business leads

If you submit the enquiry form on our business pages, we may share your contact details (name, company, email and what you are evaluating) with partner vendors whose offering matches your interest.

This happens only where you have ticked the box consenting to receive material from relevant partner companies. Without that consent, your information is used solely to answer your enquiry.

See the privacy policy for how personal data is handled.

5. Editorial independence

Comparisons, rankings and reviews are decided by the editorial team under these rules:

  • Payment from an advertiser never changes a score or a ranking position.
  • Negative aspects of a product — weaknesses, caveats, legal risk — are not removed at an advertiser's request.
  • Articles are built from official specifications, public benchmarks and the vendor's own published information as primary sources. Where we have our own test data, we publish it with the month and the conditions under which it was gathered.
  • Any article covering a commercial relationship is labelled as such.

6. Applicable law

This site operates under Japanese law, including:

  • The Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations (stealth-marketing rules, in force since October 2023): advertising and PR articles carry an explicit label.
  • The Act on the Protection of Personal Information: we obtain consent before collecting, using or sharing personal data and state the purpose of use.
  • The Act on Regulation of Transmission of Specified Electronic Mail: the newsletter goes only to people who opted in, and every message contains an unsubscribe link.
  • Copyright law: trademarks and logos belong to their respective owners, and quotation stays within what the law permits.

7. Corrections and press enquiries

If something here is wrong, if you are a vendor requesting a correction, or if you want to talk about coverage, use our contact form. We check and respond promptly.

8. Updates

This policy may change without notice. Material changes are announced on the home page and in the newsletter.
