Jaspervs
Copy.ai

Both cost about $49 a month and both write marketing copy. The difference is what they are organised around. Jasper is built to keep many people writing in one voice; Copy.ai is built to chain steps together so a process runs with less human involvement.

The short answer
- Several people write, and everything must sound like one brand → Jasper
- You want research, drafting and CRM updates chained together → Copy.ai
- Neither problem applies and it is just you writing → a general LLM is cheaper and better

What it costs
Both start around $49 per month, roughly 2.5 times a ChatGPT or Claude subscription. The gap only makes sense when the problem is coordination across people or a process, rather than the quality of one person's writing.

Questions we get
- Are these better than ChatGPT at writing?
- No. A current general-purpose LLM writes at least as well. What these add is consistency across people, templates and workflow — organisational problems rather than writing problems.
- Which handles Japanese better?
- Both are usable and neither is excellent. For Japanese marketing copy specifically, drafting with Claude and finishing by hand produces better results.
- Can we trial them?
- Copy.ai has a free tier. Jasper does not, so evaluating it means paying for at least one month.
