Notion AIWe have verified the vendor and the company behind this tool

by Notion4.5

Notion AI works on the documents and databases you already keep in Notion. Alongside in-page summarising, rewriting and translation, it can answer questions across the whole workspace — which is the part competitors cannot copy.

What it is good for

  • Organisations that run on Notion as the company workspace
  • Answering questions from internal documentation
  • Summarising, translating and extracting action items in place

Strengths and trade-offs

Strengths

  • Q&A across the entire workspace, not just the current page
  • $10 per seat per month on top of a Notion plan
  • Officially excluded from training; SOC 2 and ISO 27001, HIPAA on some plans

Trade-offs

  • Must be bought for every seat
  • Pointless if your company does not already use Notion
  • ChatGPT and Claude are better at general chat, code and images

Editors' review

Native AI inside the Notion workspace — strongest on internal knowledge Q&A

Notion AI is tuned to the documents and data already inside Notion. On top of in-page summarising, formatting and translation, it answers questions across the whole workspace, which is the capability that actually differentiates it.

It costs $10 per seat per month added to a Notion plan (Plus, Business or Enterprise). Notion states publicly that your content is not used for training, and there is SOC 2 and ISO 27001 coverage, plus HIPAA on some plans — enough to clear most procurement.

Two caveats: it has to be bought for every seat, and it is meaningless to an organisation that does not already live in Notion. For general conversation, code or images, ChatGPT and Claude are ahead.

Verdict

If Notion is your company-wide workspace, this is a large step up from copy-pasting into ChatGPT. If it is not, skip it.
