Zenchord 1
4.1
Zenchord 1 is an open-ear earbud that records meetings and passes the audio to Notta for transcription and summarisation. Being an earbud rather than a recorder is the whole point: it stays on your head through a meeting instead of sitting on the table. Official store price JPY 26,980 including tax, checked 2026-11-04.

What it is good for
- Meetings where putting a recorder on the table is awkward
- Conversations held while moving
- People who want to hear the room normally while recording
- Existing Notta users
Strengths and trade-offs
Strengths
- Open-ear design keeps ambient sound audible
- Nothing visible on the table
- Transcription and summary handled by Notta
- Battery quoted at 10 hours on the earbuds, 30 with the case
Trade-offs
- The quoted hours are playback, not continuous recording
- Output quality is Notta's, so the device adds no accuracy
- More expensive than a table-top recorder that does the same job
Editors' review
The only one of these you can wear through the meeting
Every other recorder in this category sits on a surface. If your meetings are the kind where that changes the conversation — a sales call, a sensitive review — this is the one that does not.
Read the battery figures carefully. The official page quotes playback time, 10 hours on the earbuds and 30 with the case, not continuous recording. Plan on carrying the case for a full day of meetings.
Transcription is Notta's, so judging this product means judging the hardware and the price only. Where meetings are seated and ordinary, a cheaper table-top device delivers the same transcript.
Verdict
Buy it for the form factor, which nothing else here replaces. Otherwise there are cheaper routes to the same transcript.
